Scholarships

Since 2000, Phi Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated has given thousands of dollars in scholarship money to deserving youth in Cook County, Illinois. Annually, we award a book scholarship and a technology scholarship, as well as a scholarship to the Presbytery of Chicago in the name of our charter member, Lilla Lissamore Wheeler.

Persons interested in applying for the PKO Book Scholarships must:

  • Be a permanent resident of Cook County, Illinois
  • Attend a four-year degree granting institution
  • The Book Scholarship is designated for African-American females only
  • The Think HBCU Book Scholarship is designated for African-American females and males
  • The PKO Family Scholarship is for family members of currently active Phi Kappa Omega Chapter members
