Phi Kappa Omega is the FIRST Alpha Kappa Alpha chapter chartered in the new millennium!

The chapter, first conceived by Doris B. Kyle-Powell and organized with the charter members, the Dynamic Ladies of Pink and Green Pearls Interest group became Phi Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated on January 8, 2000.

Chartered in Evergreen Park, Illinois, the charter members are:

Since 2000, Phi Kappa Omega Chapter has continued to be a “Service to All Mankind” in the Evergreen Park and Chicagoland communities. We have aggressively fought illiteracy, supported the arts, worked to improve our environment, and awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships. We have also impacted global communities through our philanthropic efforts; donated clothing, food, supplies, time and talent to numerous organizations and individuals. Phi Kappa Omega Chapter is committed to leaving a lasting legacy in the archives of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
