The Essence of Ivy and Pearls Foundation (EOIP) is the philanthropic arm of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Phi Kappa Omega Chapter. The Essence of Ivy and Pearls Foundation seeks to spark change in the greater Chicagoland community it serves by providing scholarships, family programs, health services and educational resources.

Mission
Since the Essence of Ivy and Pearls Foundation was established, over $20,000 in scholarships has been awarded to deserving students. This funding comes from fundraisers held throughout the year. The signature fundraiser of EOIP is the Little Miss Polished Pearl Pageant.
“Read Across America” Virtual Book Drive
The Essence of Ivy and Pearls Foundation would like to share a special thanks to those who supported the virtual book drive held during the month of March for Read Across America Day.
Your donations provided nearly 100 books to three elementary schools in the Chicagoland area.
The Little Miss Polished Pearl Pageant
Mission
The Little Miss Polished Pearl Pageant is committed to inspiring young girls to express themselves as articulate public speakers, poised presenters and talented young leaders. Each young lady will learn a sense of confidence, self-pride and the importance of community service.
Purpose
The purpose of the Little Miss Polished Pearl Pageant is to build self-awareness, foster long-lasting relationships through team building and promote self-esteem and personal growth of each participant, cultivating educational opportunities.
