Paint & Party with the Boys & Girls Club

On March 22, 2019, Phi Kappa Omega Chapter partnered with the James Jordan Boys & Girls Club of Chicago & Chicago Bulls Family Life Center to host a paint and party event focusing on the Black Arts Movement and Harlem Renaissance. Student participants were led by a skilled painter and artist to design personal artwork which captured the essence of music during the Harlem Renaissance era. Participants also engaged in a 30-minute discussion on careers in art after learning how the guest artist and instructor turned her passion for painting and drawing into her career. The paint and party activity was organized by the Target 4: The Arts! Committee led by Fannieleah Brown.
