Annual HBCU College Fair

Alpha Kappa Alpha’s National HBCU Week 2019 was held from September 15 through September 21, and Phi Kappa Omega hosted a phenomenal HBCU College Fair on Tuesday, September 17th. By partnering with Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills, Illinois, and 3 Seeds Mentoring Group, over 270 students and guests attended the fair. There were 20+ schools, educational organizations and vendors present, offering a variety of college information and materials. Also, entertainment was provided by the Hillcrest High School marching band as well as poetry performed by a local spoken word artist. The HBCU College Fair was organized by the Target 1: HBCU for Life Committee, led by Sharyelle Meadows and Maricha Matthews.
