PKO 2020 - Pink Goes Red

On Friday, February 6, 2020, Phi Kappa Omega Chapter hosted Pink Goes Red: 2020 Steps for a Healthy Heart at King College Prep in Chicago, IL. Community members joined PKO for an evening of dance fitness. Our guests had a ton of fun line dancing with FRE2DANCE while Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority, Inc. conducted free blood pressure screenings. Our guests also learned hands-on CPR, received heart health information, and enjoyed heart-healthy snacks. The annual Pink Goes Red initiative raises awareness about the symptoms of heart attacks and stroke, which are the leading causes of death for women. A great time was had by all when pink went red for heart health month! Special thanks to the Target 2: Women’s Healthcare and Wellness Committee, led by Charrell Joseph.
